Rack and Roll
Take your bike on the bus! Greater Sudbury Transit now offers bike racks on buses traveling Route 703 – Val Caron / Hanmer / Capreol. Part of a pilot project, racks will be in use from May to November each year and accommodate two bicycles each, allowing cyclists to easily access other areas of the city with their bikes. Riders pay their regular Transit fare, their bikes ride for free.
To load your bike:
  • Alert the driver that you will be loading your bicycle. Approach the bus from the curb.
  • Hold your bike with one hand and use the other to squeeze the handle and lower the rack.
  • Lift or roll your bike into the rack. Place the wheels in the tracks as indicated.
  • Lift the support arm and place it over the wheel. Ensure your bike is securely locked into position.
  • Due to space limitations, the racks cannot be used at the Downtown Terminal. Please exit and board the bus at least one stop away from the terminal.
